Steps 3 and 4: Work in teams of three, keep the same teams as in Step 2. Two-Three sessions (2-3 x 1h).
Step 5: Same teams as in the precedent step. Two sessions, complemented by homework.
Portfolio and Workshop sessions should be inserted in this calendar following the needs and possibilities of the project. You should consider 2 additional hours for portfolio ( 40 x 10 min sessions) and Workshop sessions (5 x 15 min sessions).

Discoverning new genes related to neurodegenerative diseases could be a way to make better diagnosis and to investigate ways to treat these illnesses.
Your goal is to identify genes that through their activity promote or prevent the development of neurogenerative processes.

To do so, you will work as a scientist, using real data and real bioinformatic tools from real in silico research to look for genes.

The whole activity takes about 12 sessions (x1 hour each).
